What started as a simple idea, has grown into one of Hickory’s “must do” events. Merry Market brings together 50 (36 for 2021 due to COVID) local craft vendors to a one-day shopping extravaganza.

Product offerings include home decor, homemade soaps, sewing/knitting/crocheting, wood designs any many more. Entry fees paid by the vendors help raise funds for missions. Mission team members and volunteers host a silent auction of items donated by vendors and a Dollars for Jesus fundraising table to raise additional funds.

After you walk up an appetite, head over to the Merry Market Cafe (Fellowship Hall or Cafeteria for you church members or SSLS alumni), for some sustenance with our High School Youth. Youth leaders and group members serve up limited breakfast items and lunch sandwich combos and soups to raise funds for youth events.

Vendor registration begins the first Tuesday after Labor Day at 8:30am and typically sells out on the first day within hours, with an extended waiting list for those in hope of snagging a last-minute opening. Registration takes place on site at St. Stephens Lutheran Church & School.

JOIN US ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2023 AT 9 AM – 2 PM.
