Palm Sunday 2025

The crowds on Palm Sunday waved palm branches and laid down their cloaks as Jesus entered Jerusalem, proclaiming Him as their King. Yet, His reign was not one of earthly power and domination but of humility, service, and sacrifice. The same hands that would soon be bound and led to the cross are the hands that rule and reign over all creation. “Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he” (Zechariah 9:9).  The hand of the Lord was guiding all things, even as the crowds cried out, “Hosanna!”—a cry for salvation that Jesus would soon answer with His outstretched hands upon the cross. As we wave our own palms, we are reminded that Christ reigns not by force but by grace, not with a sword but with a cross, and that He holds us securely in His hands as our victorious King.
